North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries Where the Money Goes

Issue COVID19 - March 12th, 2020

Due to ongoing concerns about travel and COVID-19, the NASPL Executive Committee has made the decision to cancel this year's Lottery Leadership Institute (LLI), previously set to be held in Pittsburgh, Pa., from April 20-23, 2020.

The health and wellbeing of our attendees and contributors is NASPL's top priority. Moving forward, NASPL will be assessing its public gatherings in order to help limit potential exposure to COVID-19. Upcoming events, including the Directors' Meeting & Dialogue (San Diego, Calif., June 15-18) and Professional Development Seminar (Denver, Colo., July 20-24), will be evaluated as the situation progresses. NASPL is also investigating options to offer educational opportunities remotely, via the NASPL Matrix.

LLI will not be rescheduled for 2020, but will take place next year, April 26-29, in Cleveland, Ohio. All paid registrants for LLI 2020 will receive a full refund. Please be sure to cancel any hotel reservations made for this event.

The NASPL team will continue to monitor COVID-19 developments and follow the advice and mandates from health professionals and government authorities. Be on the lookout for continuing email communications and check the NASPL website for updates.

In the meantime, for current information about COVID-19, visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at cdc.gov. And if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the NASPL offices at [email protected] or 440-361-7962.

Thank you for your understanding.

Be well, and wash those hands,

Bishop Woosley
Director, Arkansas Scholarship Lottery
NASPL President
